Worthwhile things learned during the course

Participation or role play is a very effective way to learn. Also, biodiversity mitigation has offsets as the last alternative.

Learned a great deal about offsets, their application and importance, some methodology.

Biodiversity conservation is a serious issue that need to be looked at critically in conducting EIA’s for development projects.

Good interaction between facilitators and participants, clear and well presented topics.

Visual presentation of salient issues, coordinated presentation by the instructors, cooperation and interactions of the participants.

Role-play exercise, discussion, very clear talks and explanation.

Teachers were very knowledgeable and quite patient with everyone.

Good presentation of instructors, good and effective methodology that used discussions and argumentation.

The various practical examples that were incorporated like various presentations.

Excellent instructors with hands on experience and leads of real examples, instructors facilitated open discussion and indeed stimulated active thought.

Lock of time constraint is a very large barrier, language limitations.

If the project that introduce like offsets will be more realistic rather than theoretical, time consuming.
