I am a conservation biologist at WII, where my research group uses the latest molecular/ecological tools to help wildlife conservation. We combine genetic/genomic, endocrinology and other ecological techniques to predict the direction and degree of demographic changes in free-ranging populations, which allows us to assess the impacts of disturbances on their health/reproductive functions. My research group currently focuses on research on several animals (tiger, leopard, dhole, sloth bear, swamp deer, elephant, Indian one-horned rhinoceros etc.) and bird species (both in-situ and ex-situ) across India and Antarctica.
