Mr Krishna Kumar Shrivastava was appointed as Editor at Wildlife Institute of India (WII) in 1999. He holds four postgraduate degrees in Mass Communication and Journalism, Public Administration, Hindi Literature, and English Literature. Additionally, he has earned Diplomas in Electrical Engineering and a Diploma in Sanskrit. Coming from a small town, Khurai of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Shrivastava is the First Regular Media Person of the Institute. He has edited more than 200 publications, including Annual Reports (Hindi & English), Newsletters, books, and bulletins.Mr Shrivastava has also served the institute in various capacities, including Principal Technical Officer, Academic Officer, Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), Purchase Officer and Assistant Director (Official Language) from time to time. He has extensive experience in media management and has contributed to proper media coverage of important events at WII from time to time.
Prior to joining the Institute, Mr Shrivastava worked at the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mount Abu, Rajasthan, for a one-year training program in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Bhopal, and worked for All India Radio, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. He has prepared and broadcast over a hundred radio programmes, showcasing his exceptional skills in radio programming. In his leisure time, he writes poems and enjoys playing chess.
