In order to provide effective secretarial and administrative support for the smooth and efficient running of three regular courses i.e. 10- month Post Graduate Diploma Course in Advanced Wildlife Management, 3-month Certificate Course in Wildlife Management and 2-year M.Sc. (Wildlife Science) Course, the Academic Cell has been constituted which functions under the overall control and management of the Dean, Faculty of Wildlife Sciences. In addition, the Academic Cell also organizes other short term training courses and its related activities for participants from various States and NGOs :
- 1-Week Modular Courses on Restraint and Immobilization of Wild Animals, Visitor use management and interpretive planning in Protected Areas, Environment and Social Impact Assessment and Management of Wetlands and Coastal Habitats
- 2-week Courses in Eco-development Planning for Biodiversity Conservation and Wildlife Protection, Law & Forensic Science for Probationers of the Indian Customs & Central Excise Service, Group `A`
- 2 months Modular Training Course on Integrated Wildlife Management Planning
- Two 1-Week Compulsory Training Courses for IFS Officers and so on
